Full Trusted Review

We toured the resort with manager Robin Yost, spending a couple of hours looking at the variety of rooms and suites offered, and touring the grounds as well. Offering 52 units, in 4 different styles (1, 2 and 3 Bedroom units, and a romantic studio), there's room for everyone here.  We love this place!  Watch the video and read on!

You get a comfortable feeling when you first walk in. Head off to the right to register, and you might find Terry behind the desk. As you head to your room, you will find the carpeted hallways are nice and wide, softly lit with wall lampsSister Bay Wi lodging Scandinavian Lodge, Trusted Review with glass and ivy shades; and each of the doorways leading to the rooms is decorated with a blue Scandinavian archway over the door. Nice touch. The condo units for rent, each owned individually, can be decorated the way the owner feels is appropriate, but within some guidelines to assure quality and tastefulness. We saw only well-appointed accommodations everywhere we looked.

Every bedroom has a TV, and the room amenities include queen sleeper sofas, a double whirlpool, fireplace, fully equipped kitchens, cable TV, VCR and more. So, let's start the tour!

There is also wood cove molding throughout the lodge and its rooms, adding a touch of elegance and a sense of fine attention to detail.

The Rooms
We toured an example of each offering, and we were impressed. First, we toured #217, a one-bedroom, with full kitchen and dark wood cabinets. A rose colored carpet coordinated nicely with the couch which was a sectional with a lounge section (like a fainting couch) attached. The main section is a queen sleeper. A cushy striped chair in greens, yellows and rose completed the grouping which faced the fireplace with TV and VCR above. A door led out to a covered balcony, where 2 Adirtwobedslides 01ondack chairs waited for you. Nice artwork, with some limited edition prints, graced the walls.

A king bed and whirlpool, and bathroom with double sink (great for two people getting ready) and shower with glass doors completes this one-bedroom offering. Very nice.

We next headed to a two-bedroom unit, decorated with a green carpet, a writing desk, coordinating beige couch with green/gold diamonds, and a large wing back chair. A door exited to a patio outside with a picnic table and chairs. Inside, an eating table with 4 cushioned chairs sat near the full kitchen area.

The master bedroom was roomy with a king bed, double whirlpool, large storage cabinets on either side of the bed, private bath, dresser and TV.

The smaller bedroom, which had an exit to the patio, had a queen bed, plenty of storage, ceiling fan, and TV. The sage walls coordinated with the rose and sage bedspread to add a soft feeling to the room.

A full bath for general use also comes with this offering.

On to the three-bedroom! Since there are only two units available, these get booked pretty fast - so plan ahead!

Wow - three bedrooms and three baths! That's a great start. The full kitchen has a double sink, microwave, stove, fridge, coffee maker and dark wood cabinets. It's complete with a dining area which has a round table and 4 cushioned chairs. A large couch with a lounge sectional (like a fainting chair) on a right-angle is done up in mauves and greens. A coordinating green cushy chair accompanies the ensemble. A door leads out to the covered balcony, furnished with two Adirondack chairs. This balcony curves all around from the living room area to the bedroom area - very nice and roomy!

The living room has a vaulted ceiling with lots of glass. This is a two story unit!

Bedroom 1 on the first floor is a huge room with a private bath and shower. It has a 2-person whirlpool, King bed, fireplace with TV above it, a sitting chair, and a doorway to the wrap-around balcony.

Bedroom 2 has a queen bed, with a plaid quilt in rose/green/blue. Two nightstands with lamps, a very tasteful piece of artwork over the bed depicting a snow scene with dogs and a child, dressers, and a closet complete the room.

A wide, carpeted stairway winds up to the 2nd floor loft bedroom, which sports an olive green carpet. A bathroom with full standing shower with glass doors serves the loft guests who would use the two twin beds here. A ceiling fan, built-in chest of 3 drawers, lots of closet space, and a grand view of the living room area below, or a look straight out through the second set of windows in the 2-story living room offers a pleasant view of the countryside. A night stand between the twins, clock and lamp finish off a great loft room!

The smallest unit is a Romantic Suite, and this suite is huge! King bed, a table with 2 wooden, green-upholstered arm chairs, fireplace with TV above, kitchenette with all the utensils, a 2-person whirlpool, bath, single sink and shower! And yes, a balcony too - where the Adirondack chairs await.

Other Amenities
The indoor pool area is wonderful and bright (9 banks of large windows), with a vaulted ceiling, sauna, hot tub for about 9 adults, and plenty of lounge chairs! Sign me up! AND, come here with your kiddies - they have a 1Scandinavian Lodge Outdoor Pool and a half foot kiddie pool with fish painted walls, separated from the large indoor pool! This may be the only one like it in Door County!

Outside, a large outdoor pool awaits summer visitors, and a fenced in playground with swings, slides and other fun things await the kids. A tennis court, outdoor grills, picnic tables, bike rentals, and a screened in gazebo complete the outdoor scene! And, if you bring your own bike, they have a secure indoor lock up for you! Very nice! Even a fitness center and laundry facilities for guests staying longer are available. Wow.
