  • Date of event: 1/01/2018 At Peninsula State Park at 10:00 AM. Start the new year by getting outdoors with a family friendly trek led by Friends of Peninsula State Park. Meet at Weborg Shelter. Depending on weather and trail conditions, hike will be twenty to sixty minutes, 1-3 miles. Warm up with a cup of cocoa in Weborg Shelter afterwards.   • Date of Event: 1/27/18 5:00 – 8:00 PM. This very popular event is held annually at Whitefish Dunes State Park, 3275 Clark Lake Road, on the last Saturday of January. Join the Friends of Whitefish Dunes for a night of skiing and fun on snow covered, candle lit trails. The picnic shelter will be open and the fireplace lit. Hot beverages and cookies will be provided to warm the insides and provide energy. A park sticker is required to join in the evening event, but the event is free.
