EXHIBIT – PIRATES – SHIP TO SHORE – STURGEON BAY

At the Door County Maritime Museum. This ongoing exhibit explores the life and times of the buccaneers and scalawags that roamed the east coast of North America and the Caribbean Sea during the golden age of piracy. Call for info at 920-743-5958.

DOOR COUNTY WINTER WONDERLAND TOUR - 2013
Dates of event: January 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th
                       February 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd 
                       March 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th 
Pickup at various Sturgeon Bay lodgings between 9:30 and 10:00 AM, and in Carlsville at Door County Coffee around 10:00 AM. Trolley guests will tour/taste at an award winning winery, followed by a cozy sleigh ride through the Door’s most wintry landscapes. Top it off with a fireside lunch at the romantic White Gull Inn. FOLK CONCERT SERIES AT THE WHITE GULL INN - FISH CREEK

26th ANNUAL FISH CREEK WINTER FESTIVAL - FISH CREEK
Dates of events: 2/01/13 – 2/03/13
Fish Creek will host a weekend of fun and frivolity. Winter Fest activities will feature something to delight every age. This year’s activities include a “fun and funky” parade, the always-popular chili cook-off, family games, trolley and sleigh rides, winter wine festival, live music and great food. Cheer on your favorite singer at the 8th annual Door County Idol (Door County Auditorium). Then, dance the night away at the Rock n Roll Snow Dance. The festival winds down Sunday morning with a bit of wacky amusement with the third annual Fruit Loop, a half mile costumed winter fun run that concludes with an actual Fruit Loop breakfast of champions under the Winter Festival tent. CANDLELIGHT SKI – FISH CREEK

At Peninsula State Park. 5:30 -8 PM. Ski gently rolling one-mile, candle-lit trail through the woods. Bonfire with refreshments at the warming shelter. If there is not enough snow there will still be a candlelight hike. Meet at Lot 5 on Highland Road. Park sticker required, donation suggested. 8th ANNUAL WINTER WINE & CHERRY FEST – FISH CREEK

At The Peninsula School of Art from 11 AM – 3 PM. The SOUP! Project is a community-wide effort to raise funds for our Outreach Programs and hunger relief programs. GUIDED SNOWSHOE HIKE AT THE RIDGES SANCTUARY- BAILEYS HARBOR

Meet at the Marshall Cabin, 8288 Hwy Q, Baileys Harbor • 1:00 PM. The Ridges in winter shows a beautiful, serene landscape that is enjoyed by those who love Wisconsin winters. These hikes with a Ridges naturalist cover the cultural and natural history of the ridges and swales in their “off season." Enjoy a leisurely hike on level terrain. The Heart-Y Breakfast will be held at the Sister Bay Moravian Church, corner of Hill and Old Stage Road. It is sponsored by the mission team. The breakfast buffet includes scrambled eggs, corned beef hash, pancakes, fried potatoes, cereal, muffins, coffee, juice and milk.  Proceeds from the breakfast will benefit the Gibraltar School Destination ImagiNation Team “Kids Helping Kids” fund for India.

At the Wave Pointe Marina in Sturgeon Bay. Get an early start! 4 AM - 6PM. Door County Walleyes for Tomorrow/Dave Pagels Memorial Ice Fishing Derby. A fun-filled day highlighted by a fishing tournament which ends at 2 PM. Live music 5-10 PM. Raffles for artwork, fishing supplies, hunting equipment, kids events and live music.
