Have you heard of Dan Meunier? Well, we bet your heard his music! It plays in many stores and in many inns throughout Door County - because he does a wonderful job creating beautiful piano music that captures the essence, the fell and the utmost charm of Door County.

We spent a couple of hours with Dan at his studio, which is a turn-of-the century (the last one!) schoolhouse. The place oozes with creativity, is cozy and warm, and houses his studio in the basement, where he also does concerts for seniors. He is inspired by everything around him, and the titles of his many tapes and CDs attest to this:

  • A Festival at Christmas
  • A Door County Christmas
  • Patchwork Patterns
  • Starry Night
  • A Clearing in the Woods (inspired in part by Robert Frost)
  • Reflections on the Water
  • Cave Point
  • Tracks in the Snow
  • Hymns My Grandmother Taught Me (a collection of 23 classic hymns)

And there are many more!...

If you like peaceful escape, tranquil melodies, ease and peace - take a listen to Dan Meunier's magic. His CDs are great in the home, office, and especially in the car. When you are in Door County, you will inevitably hear his music wafting through the stores and inns. But we can do you one better - right now! At the bottom of the screen, click the MUSIC button, and download a couple of Dan's pieces (Waves and Peace) - it's worth the download time (in MP3 format). You can then listen to these pieces while you tour Door County Navigator.com!

And when you are in Door County, stop in and see Dan (call first!) and pick up a tape or CD - you'll enjoy the red brick schoolhouse-turned studio, Dan himself, and his glorious music, which is genuine Door County!

Have fun! You can also order his CDs by phone - so give him a call, and tell him you heard him on Door County Navigator.com!
