The shop is a gallery of fine jewelry and framed art and glassware.  You walk in and feel at ease and welcomed – none of the intimidation factors that sometimes surround such fine jewelry shops.  This is Door County jewelry shopping at its finest!  Relax, and enjoy the treasures you will find here.

We met with Paul David Krause, who creates many of the pieces you will find here, and he also carries some of the finest lines around.  Here, you will find an abundance of hand-crafted jewelry in either white or yellow gold, platinum, sterling silver or even gold-filled.
Paul David creates many of the unique pieces himself, from rings to pendants and more, in what Paul tells us is in the arena of “understated elegance of contemporary design.”  He seems to be on the leading edge of fashion design, specializing in engagement rings, and precious and semi-precious jewelry in rings, pendants, and earrings.  Here, you will also find a great collection of loose, certified diamonds.

The pieces are beautifully displayed in traditional cases, with cut-glass pieces in the cases to add depth and interest.  Along the wall to the left, you will find a series of glass windows which allow you to gaze inside where you will find additional, magnificent pieces on display for your viewing pleasure.

Other Lines

Paul carries the Gelin Abaci™ line from California – a unique line of tension rings where the tension and strength of the mounting is holding the stone in place from either side – it looks like it is floating. 

Kattan™, a line from Beverly Hills, California, specializes in rings, earrings and wedding engagement rings and pendants all in platinum, white gold or gold.  In addition, Paul carries Lashbrook Design of titanium rings. 

One unique line of rings in the shop is by Orbis™ – Ron Hartgrove.  These unique rings with interchangeable gem spheres is like nothing else we have seen!  Very cool – the gem spheres are available in about 2 dozen varieties like tiger eye, red jasper, rock crystals, moss agate, pink corundum and more.  And you can pop one out and another in to go with a certain outfit or look you are trying to create.  Also available in bracelets and earrings, this is one cool line.

Edward Mirell™ has a collection of bracelets and rings, and men’s accessories like key chains and cufflinks.

Dora™ focuses on wedding bands in gold or platinum or accented with titanium – one of the elite designers according to Paul.

And Harry Mason™, also out of California, specializes in ear spirals.

In the shop, you will also find fun watches by a variety of makers, like Foci and Cannes, contemporary framed art, and whimsical glass art pieces.

Paul works with all the great gems like emerald, sapphire, tanzanite (very hot) and others from all over the world.  “Fancy Yellow Diamonds” is the new hot thing!  Ask Paul all about it!
