What a delightful little shop in Egg Harbor!  Gomy’s Goodies opened their doors in 2006, and have continued to create a unique experience for travelers and locals alike.

Packed inside this small shop are lots of “goodies!”  You will find great “Chocolate Shop” ice creams; fresh coffee available all day starting at about 7AM in peak season; candy from well known Jelly Bellies™ to turtles, toffee, maple creams, hazelnuts and more; roasted cashews, pecans and almonds with a cinnamon glaze; lots of gift items from toys to ceramics; and their Number One claim to fame: fudge.  Homemade fudge.  Made right here by the owners, Mike and Sharon.

Fudge at Gomy’s Goodies

OK, you have had store bought fudge in the past, and maybe some good fudge at that.  So have we.  We have had some great fudge.  And this is some of the best!

We had to try many, many varieties to do this review justice.  All are made with the best ingredients, and it shows.  We sampled Chocolate Walnut – rich and chock full of nuts; Amaretto Swirl – if you have a hankering for Amaretto, do not pass this up; Maple Nut, French Vanilla, Cappuccino, Peanut Butter Explosion (wow), Chocolate Coconut (loved it) and Door County Cherry – one of our favorites!  Let me not forget Pralines and Cream – chewy and down-right delicious.  I could have eaten a pound!

Every sample was fresh (they make it all the time), rich and so tasty you just wanted to eat more.  We sampled all of the above, and of course, depending on your taste, you like one more than another.  But we know that all are crafted to perfection.

Mike makes most of the fudge and Sharon makes fresh cookies (wonderful- we had to try them) and fresh jams – all homemade of course.  And we love Chocolate Shop™ ice cream so this is another winner.

Other Delights

The store is chock full of toys from the Melissa and David™ line which includes puzzles and games, some wooden toys, arts and crafts items and more.  You will find a huge selection of Ty™ toys as well.  Collectible ceramic chickens from the “Poultry in Motion” line adorn the shelves in their own special versions like a “BBQ Chicken” or “Firehouse Chicken” and more.  Or how about some “Queen Divas™” ceramic piggy banks?  You will also find whimsical cups and plates and lots of other special items throughout this shop.

Mike and Sharon are super-nice folks too, and so your experience here is sure to please you!  Don’t drive through Egg Harbor without stopping at Gomy’s Goodies – they have fabulous goodies waiting for you!  If you miss this fudge experience, then you have only yourself to blame!  We told you about it, so when you do stop in (and you MUST), please tell Sharon or Mike that DoorCountyNavigator.com sent you!
