If you are looking for something unusual for a gift or for your own home, stop in The Red Geranium in Baileys Harbor. Run by Kathy and Walter Vail, The Red Geranium offers the largest selection of kaleidoscopes we have ever seen! There are so many cool, unique and outstanding ones that your senses are overwhelmed.

One in particular, a large copper-based square, with two viewing scopes facing a ball revolving on water is out of this world! It is fabulous, and Kathy said that there is hardly a person who walks in the shop who does not peer into the scope! Of course, we were immediately drawn to it. This one retails for about $2,000, but what a conversation piece it would be in your home.

Dozens of other kaleidoscopes, in every price range, are everywhere - it you are into them you will find many here that you will cherish. The shop also offers original watercolor paintings, unique jewelry, pottery and lighthouses.

We spent about 25 minutes in this two-story shop, and enjoyed our chat with Kathy and all of the wonderful items that she selects to sell in her place. When strolling Baileys Harbor, stop in and look around!
