Are you looking for a nice clean room, at a super affordable price, located near the heart of one of Door County’s finest areas? We found it! Look no further than The Coachlite Inn. We are absolutely delighted to let our viewers “in” on this fantastic, year round inn located in Sister Bay. The Coachlite Inn is neatly tucked in a wonderful stand of mature pines offering privacy and seclusion. Just minutes from downtown Sister Bay and walking distance to area restaurants and shops, it’s in a great location!

We loved the rooms!
That’s right, we loved the rooms, you’ll love the price. This truly is a great little property. The Coachlite consists of three separate buildings. There is the main office on the left as you drive in, and two buildings to the right, one with nine rooms and the other with fourteen. Of course, the main office building is where you check in and there is also a nice lounging area as well, where you can just sit and relax while reading the paper or enjoy a cup of coffee and fresh bakery items that are served every morning from 8am to 10am. There is a TV and sofa at one end of the lounge and three sets of garden chairs and glass top tables and a glider rocker at the other end. There is also a microwave for your convenience, as well as games for you to enjoy.

We viewed several of the rooms, each a different style, and found them all wonderful. You may choose from a deluxe or classic room with your choice of two full size beds, one queen or two queen beds. These rooms are tastefully decorated, include daily maid service, air conditioners, full bathrooms, cable TV, refrigerator and in-room phones. Some deluxe rooms are larger and include a microwave and coffee maker, king beds and whirlpool tubs. There are also suites available for special occasions that offer a fireplace and double whirlpool tub. Nice to have choices!

Like we said, all the rooms are wonderful. They are very well maintained, very clean (daily maid service) and have all the necessary amenities to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. There are plenty of room styles to fit your needs, some handicap accessible rooms are available and connecting rooms are available as well, which is great for traveling with friends or larger families. All the rooms have covered balconies and outside entrances. One of our favorites is Room 206. Considered the “honeymoon suite”, it features a living room with gas fireplace, sofa and color TV with remote. There are dividing walls that separate the living room, bedroom and bathroom. The bedroom has a nice queen bed, ceiling fan, soft floral wallpaper and two nightstands with reading lamps. The bathroom comes complete with a double whirlpool tub that doubles as a shower—nice!

You’ll love the price!
Ok, we understand, you won’t find any indoor pools, game rooms, exercise rooms or outdoor playgrounds like they offer at many of the larger resorts in Door County. However, you will find exceptionally clean, comfortable, modern and spacious rooms at The Coachlite Inn. You will also find a fantastic, fully covered outdoor whirlpool/hot tub nestled among the pine trees, picnic tables, fire ring and grill for your enjoyment. The grounds are meticulously kept, there are plush lawn areas, outdoor lounge chairs, easy to maneuver sidewalks and pathways, an abundance of beautiful flowers throughout the property, fabulous garden landscapes and outdoor tables and chairs covered with large umbrellas offering shade………all for your pleasure! This is one very nice place!

Open year-round…peak season rates under 100 smackers…enough said! Always check for current rates and availability though.
