The French Country Inn
3052 Spruce Lane
Box 129
Ephraim, WI 54211
920-854-4001

Overview
The French Country Inn, owned by Walt Fisher & Joan Fitzpatrick since July 1988, is a different kind of an inn. If you want whirlpools, swimming pools, fireplaces, private baths, and lots of amenities, then another B&B would suit you better. But. . .if you like a charming, old inn, in a garden setting (Joan is the gardener!), with terrific hosts, an easy walk to the waterfront and town, and a true B&B experience, check out the French Country Inn

The inn houses 7 rooms during the summer, only 4 during the winter. Two of the additional rooms in summer are off a porch area – and the rooms are to either side of a private foyer – so if two people are traveling but require separate rooms, but want to be near each other, this is a nice choice. Also, there is a room with twin beds – another handy room in a B&B that you don’t often find for two travelers who need separate beds. There is also a 1 and 2 bedroom cottage available.

When you walk in, you feel the hospitality – like you are truly walking into a friend’s home. There is a quaint dining room, general sitting room and huge fireplace in the main room as you enter. There are also sitting porches for your relaxation.

Upstairs, there are four rooms off a spacious, main common room where you can play games or just sit, read and relax! The four rooms share two bathrooms, and Walt says that the guests are always respectful of the time they use the bathrooms so there never is a problem. Now, some people cringe at the notion of sharing a bathroom, and others just relish the idea of a true B&B experience – so if you can share a bathroom, you should continue on! Actually, there are two units that have private baths.

The food has a healthful focus, with homemade breakfasts that include granolas, breads and more. This is very appealing to some of their return guests, who have returned as long as Walt can remember!

Uniqueness!
Walt and Joan offer a variety of unique experiences like "Rent the Inn" winter packages (November – April)! Yes – you can rent out the entire inn! If you want to have a winter getaway retreat for your family or a group of friends, this is really a nice option! This is really not available in the peak season because rooms are booked by repeat guests, etc.

Room Rates (USD American Dollars) are between $57 and $92 for double occupancy, but always check with the innkeeper to be sure.
