This group of white cottages sits on three acres in a wonderful location in Ephraim. If you like accommodations that may remind you of simpler times, then this may be the place for you.
Checking in
As you drive north on Highway 42, you will see the sign for Ephraim Village Cottages on your right. But upon your initial arrival, you’ll want to drive just a tad further north and turn right on Hidden Spring Rd., where you’ll check-in at the building with an “office” sign.
Cottages
There are 10 cottages with 12 different options. The Bayview building, the closest to the water, has two accommodations inside.
Available are:
- Four three-bedroom cottages
- Five two-bedroom cottages
- Three one-bedroom cottages
Each air-conditioned cottage has a private bathroom and fully equipped kitchen with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster as well as dishes and flatware. A deck/patio with furnishings as well as a grill and picnic table are also available to guests of each cottage.
The Cottages
Included is a cottage called the Cozy Brook North. You have your own cedar deck and private entry. Inside is a living room with woodburning fireplace, flat screen television/cable.
The sofa in the living room converts to a bed. And there is one bedroom and one bathroom.
Also available is a cottage called Wee One. It has two bedrooms and a bathroom. This unit also has a sun porch.
The bedrooms each have two beds. And the living room has a woodburning fireplace. There is also a fully equipped kitchen.
If you prefer to be as close to the water as possible, then choose The Bayview two-story building. Included is Bayview Two on the lower level. It is like a sprawling ranch-style home with three bedrooms, bathroom, a living room with a corner woodburning fireplace.
The large window in the living room gives you a fantastic view of the water and a lot of green space. You also have a fully equipped kitchen.
Kid and pet friendly
Ephraim Village Cottages is a choice for many families. Some people have been coming here for years, which we always feel is an extremely positive sign. The property is also pet friendly with a nicely landscaped trail through a wooded area to go for a walk—with or without a pet. The children enjoy the playground—swings, slide and more.
Also on the property are a pretty brook and a lot of lawn space dotted with picnic tables (each room gets one).
“We are for families. One family is coming back this year for their 39th year. We have a repeat business,” said Daryl Larson, the general manager. “We’re pet friendly, and families and kids love the yards and places to play.”
Near Ephraim and Green Bay waters
Ephraim Village Cottages has a wonderful location, just south of Eagle Harbor and near many shops, restaurants and fun things to do in Ephraim. You can walk to boutiques and art galleries. Or head to Eagle Harbor, where you can enjoy water sports, such as a sailboat ride on Green Bay waters.
Daryl recommends golfing as well as boating in Door County.
