The Home

Indeed, you get to enjoy the best of everything when you stay here. There are three bedrooms and three baths in this three-level home.  Bella Villa is perfect for a couple’s retreat, a honeymoon or for a two or three couple getaway.  There’s a six-guest maximum and adults only, please.

The amenities include three gas fireplaces with hearths made from granite.  Throughout the house, warm pine walls contrast with modern conveniences such as granite countertops and breakfast bar in a fully equipped kitchen, and three Plasma televisions with satellite. 

The great room, outfitted with leather furniture and open to a dining area, is a great place to enjoy the fire or a movie.  As you head up to that lovely master suite, don’t miss more details in the stairs—they are constructed from both maple and cherry and the contrasting hardwoods are a delight to the eye.

At the top of the stairs, you’ll see a sitting room to your left. There’s a writing desk here and doors leading to a balcony, where you can sit outdoors and look at the woods.

The Bedrooms

You’ll be sure to get a good night’s rest in the master bedroom. Even the luxury pillows on the queen-size bed are so special that some guests wrote Terry asking, “Where did you find them?”

After you take a bath in the heated and self-cleaning whirlpool, you can enjoy a rest, a movie or the bedroom’s fireplace. Some just enjoy the view of the woods to the southeast.

“The master bedroom is my favorite area. What a heavenly view!” writes a Bella Villa II visitor in the guest book.

The upper level bath has a shower (all Kohler appliances in the home) and a separate vanity and stool –so nice for spreading out all your cosmetics and special products.

On the lower level, you’ll find two more bedrooms—each has a queen-size bed and wonderful decor in warm colors.  Don’t miss the heated towel rack in the beautiful bathroom also outfitted with a whirlpool tub, pedestal sink and separate shower.

“The fireplace has an extra blower and can heat up this bath, too,” Terry explains.

The lower level fireplace is in a nearby sitting room. 

Working with a family member and structural engineer, it took Terry three years to build Bella Villa II, which was completed in 2005.

“People should come here for the beauty of it - the woodwork, the way it is built, the cleanliness, high-end products. It’s old fashioned living, with the logs, combined with some of the new amenities,” he says.

Terry also encourages guests to enjoy bike riding on the lakeside, Baileys Harbor restaurants and recreational activities on nearby Kangaroo Lake. 

“Or you can sit inside and relax,” he says. “It has been great to have the opportunity to meet people and have them come to this place and be able to provide them the best we can.”
