Food/Dining : Fish Creek We were delighted to hear that The Chocolate Chicken opened a second store near Fish Creek. Im sure that many of our readers who have been to Door County have heard of The Chocolate Chicken and will want to hear about their new location. If you havent heard about this great store, youre in luck! Its one of our favorites! No matter if youre a dedicated repeat customer or finding out about The Chocolate Chicken for the first time, you must read on to find out about their new location and how to save some money on your next visit! Due to the high demand for their great fudge, chocolates and gourmet coffee, owners Sue and Will Stone decided to open a second location with an easy to find, quick stop spot to even better serve their many loyal customers heading on up the peninsula. The new store is located just south of Fish Creek in the Little Sweden building that sits on what was once a ski hill. The building itself is modeled after a municipal building located in a small village in Sweden. This very colorful building is located on the right hand side of the road as you are heading North on Hwy 42 and is also home of some neat little Swedish shops including a childrens Toyland and a bath & body shop. Now just because it has a great convenient location doesnt mean you cant stop and stick around to enjoy the atmosphere! Just outside the store you will find tables and chairs that look out over a Swedish outdoor patio. Beyond the patio there is a beautiful wooded bluff that once was a ski hill. Will and his staff are happy to whip up your favorite espresso or cappuccino and they use only the finest ingredients (form Italy of course!) and first class equipment to do it. Inside the store you will find all sorts of good stuff! Its a daunting task to try to list all the goodies, but we will try! Cool candy like chocolate covered chips and peanut brittle, flavored frappaccinos and fruit smoothies, rooster claws, peanut butter cups, chocolate covered cherries, cashew clusters, and crèmes in just about every flavor like orange, lemon, cherry, raspberry, carmel, coconut and strawberry to name a few. New items like the frozen cheesecake on a stick are big hitstry one! The Chocolate Chicken has some super specialties like Door County cherry cappuccino, raspberry truffle mocha, butter pecan latte and snickers bar cappuccino. They use only Torani flavored syrup for their hot or cold drinks and carry unique flavors like pink grapefruit, apple and pear. The granites looked tasty and refreshing. This drink blends ice, flavored Torani syrup of your choice and whipped creams. After pondering the menu for what seemed like over an hour I decided on a raspberry chocolate mocha, delicious! Thanks Will! If
flavored coffee is your cup of tea (did we just say that!) you will have
over 25 flavors to choose from. These are whole bean flavors from all
over the world and they usually serve a selected one or two flavors each
day (depending on time of the season). YES, they do have gourmet tea as
well. NO! You will not find ice cream at The Chocolate Chicken! But you
can find lots of other neat stuff like mugs and pitchers with The Chocolate
Chicken logo as well as t-shirts, sweatshirts, polos, handbags and
more!
