Great Food!
John Henry's opened up on the south end of Egg Harbor in 2008 or so, and has been going strong ever since.  His motto is: "It Is... What It Is."  And what it is, is good!
It occupies the coral-colored building on the east end of Highway 42 which use to house a whole slew of other bars and restaurants in days gone by.  But John Henry's seems to be a keeper!

Yes, it's a bar, and a good one.  John Henry himself is in the place most nights, and is a great host.  Not only that, John Henry's eastern European background shows through on his menu offerings.  Look, it looks like a bar.  But behind just the "bar facade" is some pretty darn good food!

John Henry's place is open year-round, and offers lunch and dinner selections, from 11AM - 11PM in the peak season (June - October) and from 11 - 9PM from November through May.  Always check for possible changes.  So, if you are hungry, even later at night, head over to John Henry's in Egg Harbor for some great food.

Dining Choices
We have dined at John Henry's a dozen times or so, have spoken to many others who have dined there, and we have all positives to report!  We have had everything from a late night burger (awesome) to John Henry's famous "naked ribs!"  He's got nightly specials and Tuesdays and Saturdays are the naked ribs. You MUST try these.  Yep - naked.  Not smothered in BBQ sauce, but naked baked, baby back ribs which are seasoned his way. served with sweet Bavarian Kraut (awesome) and potato dumplings and gravy.  This is one great meal - we have had the ribs about 5 or 6 times already.  One time we were sitting at the bar eating (there are some tables too if you prefer), and the couple sitting next to us were eating the ribs too.  The gentleman said, he's in Door County for 5 nights, and 4 so far he's dined at John Henry's!

There are also baked chicken specials, "Thanksgiving Thursday" with turkey and trimmings, etc.  You get the picture.  Everything is very good, including the sides.  You can see the full menu and choose for yourself!

John Henry's has a full bar, stocked with lots of good things, and a huge beer selection, including the original formula Schlitz, and Guinness(tm) on tap!!  But don't ask for a shot glass!  So you might stop in for one in the evening, or stop in to dine - either way, you will feel at home and very welcome at John Henry's.  Lots of locals head to John Henry's so you know, this is a good one!
