Their motto is: “Where Big Fish Get Whacked!”  In talking with Captain Brian, he said that the Hitman Charters folks know where the fish are – the two Captains, (Brian and Pete) have been fishing the Door County waters for over 25 years.  They’ve been licensed Captains since about 2001.   They use all the tricks they know, including location, different baits, methods, and finding the cold water – all to ensure that you have a great time aboard the Hitman!  While they cannot guarantee you’ll catch fish (who can?!), they have never had a customer who has not been satisfied.  They want you to feel safe, have fun, and return for another Hitman Charter later on!

So all you King Salmon and Steelhead, Lake or Brown Trout – look out – Hitman Charters is coming your way!

You will find the 31 foot Silverton Flybridge boat docked at the Leathem Smith Lodge and Marina, on the dock closest to the big bridge.    The boat is equipped with the best – the tackle is meticulously maintained, the equipment all top-notch.  When you arrive for your charter, you will find the baits set, rods and leaders all done and ready to go.

Up to 6 people can climb aboard for an outing you will always remember.  You book the whole boat for either a morning charter or an afternoon charter, of either six or eight hours.  They will try to work with your schedule, so if you don’t want to leave at 4AM, you can set up a different departure time! 

And if the Captain determines the weather is not right for the charter, then not to worry – your money is refunded, or your trip rescheduled.

Families, Wedding Parties, Corporate Outings!

Hitman Charters books a lot of families – kids are welcomed for sure!  And you can bring any food or drink that you would like.  The Captain also says that lots of corporate outings get booked – from construction companies, rental companies and more – from all over the Midwest.   And many are repeat customers, coming each year for an outing with the Hitman.

Hitman Charters also offers other services that we know you will like.  The Hitman will clean your fish, filet or gut them, and bag them for you.  In fact, Captain Brian said they will even give you some recipes if you’d like!    And if you want more, then see the folks at Leathem Smith Lodge and Marina.  There, for a fee, they will shrink-wrap, freeze and ship your fish!

Reservations are a must, so plan ahead. Hitman Charters starts up when the water warms, usually around mid-May, and ends sometime in October.  So there is plenty of time to have fun!
