ROCK N ROLL ART NIGHT – FISH CREEK

6:30-10 PM. On select Friday nights Hands On Art Studio features live music during adult night for adults 21 and older. It is a 3 1/2 hour kids-free zone. DOOR COUNTY TROLLEY TOURS

KART RACING – STURGEON BAY

At Thunderhill Raceway - John Miles County Park, 812 North 14th Avenue, formerly The County Fairgrounds Park. Kart Racing is coming back to the Thunderhill Raceway in Sturgeon Bay. Racing will be Wednesday nights. Gates open at 3 PM, racing starts at 6 PM. Practice on Sundays from 1 PM to 6 PM. DOOR COUNTY FIREBOAT CRUISES – STURGEON BAY
Dates of Event : May 28 through Early October

Cruise launches from the dock adjacent to the Door County Maritime Museum, 120 N. Madison Ave. Each narrated tour lasts 1-1/2 hours and cruises either through the Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal or to Sherwood Point Lighthouse (weather permitting). Snacks and refreshments, including full bar, are available on board for sale during the cruise. YOUTH AND FAMILY PROGRAMS – STURGEON BAY

At the Team Leadership Center – 4497 Ploor Road.  The Team Leadership Center (TLC) is family owned and operated and located on 80 beautiful acres.  The center is an indoor/outdoor ropes challenge course and adventure center housed in a turn-of- the-century dairy barn.  The Family Fun Days on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday include rock climbing and kayaking. SUNDAYS: FREE MUSIC ON THE DECK - JACKSONPORT

At Simon Creek Vineyard

RIDGES NATURE CENTER ACTIVITIES
Dates of Event: 6/1/10 - 9/30/10
Mon-Sat 9 AM – 4 PM. Visit the Nature Center at the Ridges Sanctuary and explore the most recent finds - a butterfly wing, a wasp nest, lichen, leaf veins, etc. Get close to nature with microscopes and bug boxes.
Visit 5 miles of sanctuary trails daily, from dawn to dusk. It is a great place to hike or participate in one of many programs.

SISTER BAY FARMER’S MARKET

Every Saturday 8 AM – noon at Sister Bay Historical Society's Corner of the Past (Highway 57 and Fieldcrest Road- 1 ½ mile south of downtown Sister Bay). This market is devoted to selling locally-grown produce, honey, flowers, maple syrup, sauerkraut, canned foods and bakery prepared in certified kitchens, and natural-fed meat products. FARMER’S MARKET– STURGEON BAY

Easiest way to get there from the north: Take Hwy 42 south to the Sturgeon Bay Business District: 57/42 – take a right there.  You will pass the Neighborhood Pub (stop in and eat – great food!), Wal-Mart, and a lot of other stuff.  Go the speed limit.  When you hit Hardee’s, take a left and you will be heading to the main section of downtown Sturgeon Bay.   You will be on Jefferson Street – take it to 3rd (the main street in downtown Sturgeon Bay and turn left).  Take that past Younkers, etc. to Michigan St. and take a left – you will hit 4th in 1 block!  Have fun.

Peninsula Players TheatrE – FISH CREEK

Its 75th Anniversary, America’s oldest professional resident summer theatre opens its 2010 season on June 15th performing Tuesdays through Sundays.

TOURS OF IVERSON HOUSE/MORAVIAN CHURCH - EPHRAIM

Thursdays, 1:30-3 PM. Learn more in-depth Moravian history by participating in the new 1.5 hour, weekly tour of Ephraim’s Moravian Church, followed by the Historic Iverson House. THE BOOK AS SCULPTURE – EXHIBIT – FISH CREEK

At the Guenzel Gallery at Peninsula School of Art.  The opening reception is on Friday, August 13, 5-7 PM.  Seeing ink on paper for both its textural quality and possibility for layered meanings, artists are utilizing books as a medium for expressive, sculptural forms. MARINA FEST – SISTER BAY

  9th ANNUAL LABOR DAY WEEKEND RUN & DUATHLON – FISH CREEK
Date of Event: 9/4/10

The Labor Day Weekend Run is held at the YMCA Northern Door Program Center in Fish Creek.  Duathlon start at 8:00 AM, 5K start at 9:00 AM. This annual event includes a 5K Run/Walk, quarter-mile children’s run and duathlon, which will include a 2-mile run/12 mile bike/2 mile run. In addition to the run, there will be door prizes, free use of the aquatic center, refreshments and fun for the whole family! A KINGDOM SO DELICIOUS - COUNTYWIDE

”A Kingdom So Delicious” was French explorer, Radisson’s description of Door County in the 17th century.  Now it’s a three-week culinary tour of Door County that takes place after Labor Day and before the fall color. “Kingdom” is an exploration of food producers and food preparers during which visitors will be able to participate in multi-level culinary adventures throughout the County.   ANNUAL DOOR COUNTY CENTURY BIKE RIDE WEEKEND – STURGEON BAY

The Door County Century has moved. This year's ride, September 12, 2010 will start and finish at the Door County Fairgrounds just north of Sturgeon Bay. This year's ride will feature a Finish Line Celebration with food, music and hearty "job well done" to all riders.  Three routes of varying lengths provide options for cyclists of all ability levels. Routes of 30 miles, 50 miles, 70 miles and 100 miles (Century) bring the riders progressively further up the peninsula. Rest stops spaced along the route will provide food, refreshments and rest room facilities along with unforgettable views. 8TH ANNUAL CORN FEST - CARLSVILLE

Date of Event: 9/11/10

9AM – 4PM at Schopf’s Hilltop Dairy. Walk the corn maze, great food, live music and diverse activities for all ages. Corn and pie eating contests, scarecrow auction, tug of war, and more! Challenge Walk MS Wisconsin is a three day walk benefiting programs and research for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.  Challenge Walk MS will guide you around the historic Door County Peninsula. The walk will be a scenic, meditative experience that you can enjoy with your Challenge Walk companions. Rest stops every three miles will provide you with everything you need to make your Walk a success! The route will also be staffed with plenty of support vehicles and medical staff. Challenge Walk MS is the ultimate experience you will never forget.  Challenge walk MS is a three-day, 50-mile (30-mile option available) experience that tests your strength and your spirit, and makes an extraordinary difference in the lives of the 400,000 people in the U.S. living with multiple sclerosis.
