TAKE A HIKE: GET YOUR “LIKE TO HIKE” PIN – FISH CREEK
Location: Peninsula State Park 
Dates of event:1/1/10 – 12/31/10
Take a Hike! Get your Like to Hike Niagara Escarpment pin. Espress your love for the Escarpment and support the educational efforts of the Friends of Peninsula State Park by getting a pin featuring a Brown Bat set against the backdrop of Eagle Bluff. ROCK N ROLL ART NIGHT – FISH CREEK
Dates of Event: 4/23/10 To 11/6/10
6:30-10 PM. On select Friday nights Hands On Art Studio features live music during adult night for adults 21 and older. It is a 3 1/2 hour kids-free zone. All the studio spaces are open and ready for you to have a fun evening playing with art. The studio fee for the entire evening is $7 plus the cost of your art project. EXHIBIT: NORSE MYTHOLOGY, THE MUSE – FISH CREEK
Dates of Event: 10/1/10 - 11/6/10

At the Guenzel Gallery at Peninsula School of Art, 3900 County F.  The rich narratives of four ancient Norse myths inspire twenty 2 and 3-D artists to create works of their own unique interpretations. Opening Reception: Saturday, October 2nd, 5-7 PM. Info 920-868-3455.

 

JACK O’LANTERN JAMBOREE – FISH CREEK
Dates of Event: 10/30/10 – 11/1/10
Fish Creek presents scary faces, funny faces, candles aglow...Jack O’Lantern Jamboree will feature pumpkins of all shapes and sizes throughout the village during Halloween weekend. Festivities will include trick or treating, a pet parade and costume contest. 920-868-2316.

30th ANNUAL SOUTHERN DOOR ART & CRAFT FAIR - BRUSSELS
Date of Event: 11/7/10

YMCA FOLK ART & CRAFTS FAIR – STURGEON BAY

At the Sturgeon Bay YMCA, 9 AM – 3 PM. A wonderful place to Christmas shop featuring products from top area artists and crafters. Browse through displays of fine art, bid on silent auction items and enjoy a fabulous spread of food including baked goods, soups, sandwiches and more, while supporting the Door County YMCA Youth in Government Program. THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE - JACKSONPORT Date of Event: 11/25/10

CAPTURE THE SPIRIT IN SISTER BAY

What better way to prepare for the hustle and bustle of the holiday season than to spend your weekend in Sister Bay?  The cozy little village lights up for the holidays with special decorations and trolley rides throughout downtown Sister Bay with a tree lighting, caroling, visits from Santa, warming refreshments, live Christmas music from the local Gibraltar High School chorus, and an art fair in the Sister Bay Village Hall.  Capture the Spirit continues through Saturdays in December with extended shopping hours in participating Sister Bay retail shops.  For information, 920-854-2812 or visit www.sisterbaytourism.com

EGG HARBOR HOLLY DAYS – Egg Harbor
Dates of Event: 11/26/10 – 11/27/10
Holiday kickoff features: Breakfast with Santa Friday at the Landmark Resort. Tree lighting ceremony on Friday at dusk in Harbor View Park. Free horse-drawn wagon rides Friday and Saturday. Annual Children’s Christmas store, storytelling, retailer’s open house.  Take advantage of the special sales going on all weekend throughout the Village. Nice small town event.  We have attended this a few times, and sometimes there’s a spectacular tree about 15 feet tall!  Draws a nice crowd of people, singing carols.  If you are in town, go to the Christmas Tree lighting ceremony- it’s fun!  Full day here

THE LETTERMEN CHRISTMAS – FISH CREEK

At Door Community Auditorium, 7 PM. This holiday season, the legendary Lettermen will take audiences for a lovely stroll down memory lane without ever having to go out in the cold! Featuring their trademark 3-part harmonies, The Lettermen will treat listeners to a heartwarming performance of their biggest hits of the past 40 years as well as an enchanting array of holiday tunes, new and old. HOLIDAY HOME TOUR 2010 – DOOR COUNTY
Dates of Event: 11/26/10 – 11/27/10

Experience the sights and sounds of the holidays over Thanksgiving weekend as you visit some of Northern Door’s finest homes. Each home will be decorated in Christmas finery and offer a variety of entertainment from cookie baking and Santa greeting the kids to caroling. Proceeds go to Northern Door Children’s Center in Sister Bay and Gibraltar School’s Extended Student Competition Fund. .
