ROCK N ROLL ART NIGHT – FISH CREEK
Dates of Event: 4/23/10 To 11/6/10 6:30-10 PM.
On select Friday nights Hands On Art Studio features live music during adult night for adults 21 and older. It is a 3 1/2 hour kids-free zone. All the studio spaces are open and ready for you to have a fun evening playing with art. The studio fee for the entire evening is $7 plus the cost of your art project. KART RACING – STURGEON BAY

At Thunderhill Raceway - John Miles County Park, 812 North 14th Avenue, formerly The County Fairgrounds Park. Kart Racing is coming back to the Thunderhill Raceway in Sturgeon Bay. Racing will be Wednesday nights. Gates open at 3 PM, racing starts at 6 PM. Practice on Sundays from 1 PM to 6 PM. LIVE MUSIC ACOUSTIC THURSDAYS – STURGEON BAY

GUIDED NATURE HIKES AT THE RIDGES SANCTUARY - BAILEYS HARBOR

Although the trails at The Ridges Sanctuary (8288 Hwy Q, Baileys Harbor) are open year ‘round, during the Spring, Summer, & Fall, guided hikes with a naturalist are offered to help you discover some of the unique aspects of this non-profit nature preserve. Take a Hike! Get your Like to Hike Niagara Escarpment pin. Espress your love for the Escarpment and support the educational efforts of the Friends of Peninsula State Park by getting a pin featuring a Brown Bat set against the backdrop of Eagle Bluff. WINE AND CHOCOLATE – STURGEON BAY

36TH ANNUAL SALON OF ART – STURGEON BAY

CENTER STAGE – WASHINGTON ISLAND
Dates of event: 1/3/10 - 5/2/10
Island Players will present its tenth season of “Center Stage,” an informal monthly afternoon of play readings performed at the Recreation Center. In January, “Center Stage” will sponsor a retrospective of Island Players’ 25 years of serving the community. As part of the program, former Board members will be honored and invited to share stories from past years. 2- 4 PM on the first Sunday of each month. http://www.islandplayers.org

DOOR COUNTY FESTIVAL OF BLOSSOMS
Dates of event: 5/01/10 to 5/31/10
Annual, month-long celebration of Spring framed by more than 300 miles of shoreline!   Enjoy guided and self-guided tours among thousands of acres of blossoming cherry and apple orchards (beautiful!), wonderful flowers like daffodils and tulips, and countless wildflowers. The festival of blossoms is fun throughout May – it’s just nice to see Spring really back, flowers in bloom, and everyone readying for another super – season in Door County.  Don’t expect a ton of hoopla, but there is natural beauty to enjoy!  Nice quiet times too.

3rd ANNUAL DOOR COUNTY HALF-MARATHON
Date of event: 5/01/10
In Peninsula State Park, race starts at 10AM on a paved surface within the Peninsula State Park. All finishers receive a t-shirt, finisher’s medal as well as food and drink at the finish line. Awards will be presented to the top male and female runners, top male and female master runners and top three finisher in each age group. NICOLET BAY 5K FUN RUN/WALK
Date of event: 5/1/10
In Peninsula State Park, race begins at 10:30 AM, after the half-marathon start.  Participants will follow the out and back course along the water on Shore Rd. going past Eagle Bluff Lighthouse and Welcker’s Point, finishing at the same finish line as the half marathon. Walkers are welcome to participate in the 5K. All finishers will receive a t-shirt and food and drink at the finish line. Awards for the top 3 male and female finishers, and door prizes will be given out. DOOR COUNTY TROLLEY PROGRESSIVE DINNER OUTING

Trolley guests will experience unique stops for hors d’oeuvres/cocktails at a surprise location, an elegant dinner at The Inn at Kristofer’s, and a decadent dessert at a romantic inn. DISCOVERY BIRD WALKS – THE RIDGES SANCTUARY IN BAILEYS HARBOR

17th ANNUAL BLOSSOM RUN – EGG HARBOR
Date of event: 5/8/10
The annual Blossom Run includes a 5 mi run, a 2 mi walk/run and a 1 mi youth run. Proceeds support programs at the Door County YMCA. Race begins at 8:30 AM. Register in advance, starting in March, or day of the run. For more info call 920-743-4949 or visit www.doorcountyymca.org

SISTER BAY FESTIVAL OF BLOSSOMS

In Downtown Sister Bay. Sister Bay’s first festival of the year heralds the beginning of spring and the “blossoming” of life in the Door Peninsula.  A celebration for both the young and the “young-at-heart”, Blossom Festival features a traditional raising of the maypole, a children’s parade (with prizes for the best costume!), Norwegian dancers, the Boy Scout Color Guard, the Gibraltar Junior High Band, judging and awarding of parade prizes in Beach Park, and a bonfire with live entertainment.  920-854-4878 or 920-854-2812 for info (and to confirm date).
      
ISADOORA THEATRE PRESENTS “PAINTING CHURCHES” - EPHRAIM
Dates of Event: 5/13/10 – 5/16/10 and 5/20/10 – 5/23/10
Shows at the Ephraim Village Hall. Isadoora Theatre Company presents a semi-autobiographical story, by Tina Howe, that honors and analyzes its subjects in a captivating collage of resonant drama, poignant revelations, and hearty, life-inspired laughs. The portrait for which the play is named exists both on canvas and in the lovingly sketched portrayals of its three characters. Time: 7:30 PM Thurs-Sat, 2:00 PM Sunday. 10th ANNUAL DOOR COUNTY SCOTTIE RALLY – Baileys Harbor

Place: Baileys Harbor Town Hall
You like Scottish Terriers?  You’ll love this event.  This is the 10th Annual Door County Scottie Rally, with a Parade of about 150 Scotties, bagpipers and drums – starting around 11:30 AM!  And a silent auction.  Viewing will be at the Town Hall.   For additional info and registration details, call 920-493-5878, 920-839-2982 or www.doorcountyscottierally.com.  (Check their website often as event details were not finalized as of our posting.)

16th ANNUAL SHEPHERD'S MARKET - STURGEON BAY

At the Whitefish Bay Farms, 3831 Clark Lake Rd, (County WD) - near Jacksonport.  This is Northeastern Wisconsin’s oldest fiber event.  Saturday-May 16th from 10 AM – 4 PM, and Sunday-May 17th from 10 AM – 3 PM.  Call 920-743-1560 for more details.

DOOR COUNTY FESTIVAL OF NATURE – Baileys Harbor

Three-day celebration of the tremendous natural wonders of Door County with guided field trips through some of Door County’s most unique and beautiful nature areas, many not usually open to the public. 38th ANNUAL JACKSONPORT MAIFEST - Jacksonport

12TH ANNUAL FINE ART FAIR – SUNSET PARK – STURGEON BAY
