Take a Hike! Get your Like to Hike Niagara Escarpment pin. Espress your love for the Escarpment and support the educational efforts of the Friends of Peninsula State Park by getting a pin featuring a Brown Bat set against the backdrop of Eagle Bluff. 35TH ANNUAL JURIED EXHIBIT – STURGEON BAY

At Miller Art Museum, 107 South 4th Avenue.
A juried exhibition in two-dimensional media only by artists from Door, Brown, Manitowoc, Kewaunee and Oconto counties.  Holiday Gift Shop is opens. Information: 920-746-0707.

 

CAPTURE THE SPIRIT IN SISTER BAY
Dates of Event: 11/26/10 – 11/27/10
What better way to prepare for the hustle and bustle of the holiday season than to spend your weekend in Sister Bay?  The cozy little village lights up for the holidays with special decorations and trolley rides throughout downtown Sister Bay with a tree lighting, caroling, visits from Santa, warming refreshments, live Christmas music from the local Gibraltar High School chorus, and an art fair in the Sister Bay Village Hall.  Capture the Spirit continues through Saturdays in December with extended shopping hours in participating Sister Bay retail shops.  For information, 920-854-2812 or visit www.sisterbaytourism.com

At Inn at Cedar Crossing, Third Ave. and Louisiana St., 3-5 PM. Join us for a fun and interesting class on how to make a gingerbread house. THE RIDGES NATURAL CHRISTMAS – BAILEYS HARBOR

At Ridges Sanctuary, 8288 County Road Q, 3-5 PM. The log cabins at the Ridges Sanctuary are decorated with natural materials and open to residents and visitors. Make a fresh Christmas wreath, nature crafts, or natural decorations. Take a winter hike in the sanctuary and enjoy luminaries lining the boardwalk from the upper window of the range light. Gather around the fire to toast marshmallows and nibble on cookies dipped in hot chocolate. Lots of homemade treats, music and ’natural’ fun. Information: 920-839-2802.

NEW YEARS EVE CANDLELIGHT RIDE – STURGEON BAY
Date of Event: 12/31/10
At Kurtz Corral. Ride through the woods of Door County. After the ride enjoy a cup of hot cider, wine or champagne around the fireplace. Call for trail conditions. Ride leaves at 4:00 PM if conditions are right. For reservations and information call: 920-743-6742.
