Harbor View Park is the place for family fun and outdoor entertainment. Chili, sweet corn, pumpkin pie, cider, beer and the best brats you have ever tasted! All day music, usually face painting, and more. Silent auction on Saturday. Call 920-868-3717 or www.eggharbordoorcounty.org
Highly Recommended! One of the staff’s favorite festivals, the Pumpkin Patch Festival in Egg Harbor is a delight – somehow they always get nice weather . . . mostly! Walk around Harbor View Park, smell the brats grilling, the corn roasting, hear the music playing, wafting up the hills from down near the harbor! And the entire town is decorated with corn stalks, pumpkins, hay and beautiful wreaths – and many of the businesses participate in the best decorated business contest – so you will see some clever decorations. Oh - try some of the chili – there is always a great cup of chili bubbling up near the park! Buy an official Pumpkin Patch cap or shirt, and whatever you do, stop in the Shipwrecked for a pumpkin beer that they brew only in the fall, right at Shipwrecked! Get a nice coffee at Chocolate Chicken!
Be warned – it gets a little more crowded each year, but it is no where near as crowded as next week’s Sister Bay Fall festival. You will have to park pretty far away and walk – but that’s ok, that’s what it’s all about. If you remember (print this out!), park up on the hill road behind Main Street Market – you might be able to find a spot up there! Well, you have about another week before things really slow down in Door County – if you want Fall and very quiet – wait until after the Sister Bay Fall fest (but call inns to see who is open)!
