Golf Weekend Recommendations
45-Hole Golf Recommendations

Arrive in time to golf 9 holes on Friday, then 18 on Saturday, and 18 on Sunday. Here are a couple of suggested 45-hole golf outings.

45 Hole Golf Weekend 1

Nine Holes on Friday

Arrive by 2 PM so you are ready to golf your first 9 holes conveniently at Cherry Hills Lodge and Golf Course in Sturgeon Bay (on your way!). You can gold up to 18 here, but you can also elect to play a quick nine. This is a challenging course indeed.

18 Holes on Saturday

Saturday morning, golf 18 at Peninsula State Park! If you golf in the morning, you can enjoy breakfast at Julies in Fish Creek (near the entrance to the park, not the course). If you golf in the afternoon, enjoy lunch outdoors at Wilson’s Restaurant in Ephraim! This is a challenging course with some beautiful vistas! Read our Peninsula State Park review!

18 Holes on Sunday

You’re on a roll! Now if you know a member or get a pass, you are off to Horseshoe Bay Golf Club in Egg Harbor. Gorgeous course! This is now a private course. If you can't get in, think about becoming a member. It is outstanding. Everything about Horseshoe Bay is first class! This is a major challenge, championship course.

You can also head back to Cherry Hills in Sturgeon Bay to golf the entire 18 hole course this time, and again, now on your way out!  It is a true challenge!

45 Hole Golf Weekend 2

Nine Holes on Friday

Arrive in time for an afternoon nine. You can play a quick nine at Alpine (they have 27 holes). You can choose White or Red for nine holes. Nice start to your weekend. Read our Alpine review!

18 Holes on Saturday

OK, now it off to Idlewild Golf Club in Sturgeon Bay, about a 18 mile drive south of Egg Harbor. Idlewild is a nice course, with lots of dog-legs and water.  Fun course, and challenging enough for all. Definitely get a cart! Read our Idlewild Golf Club review!

18 Holes on Sunday

You’re on a roll!   Now if you know a member or get a pass, you are off to Horseshoe Bay Golf Club in Egg Harbor. Gorgeous course! This is now a private course, so call ahead to see how you might be able to play. It is outstanding. Everything about Horseshoe Bay is first class! This is a major challenge, championship course.

OK, you had a nice 45-hole weekend! Try it again, and Golf Door County!
